On a miserably hot 29th of June, our trees arrived after lunch and over the next three hours were put in the ground by two hard-working young men from Howe Landscaping.
Mark and I are pleased with our choice of trees – a Tatarian Maple for by the driveway, and a Sugarthyme Crabapple by the patio. Both trees look like they belong where they were planted, and we are excited and looking forward to watching them grow. This afternoon I was delighted to see birds land on the Crabapple.
Because of the heat, we water all three of our trees – the two new ones as well as the Riverbirch – frequently. All but one of our sprinklers which we had had for a while have given out recently, so Mark went to the Home Depot this afternoon and bought new ones. It feels good to be able to take care of the house and its surroundings.
